Analyze Kendre Miller's matchup for week 7
Chicago is hemorrhaging 6.05 YPC to RBs, yet Miller’s 8-12 touch projection and zero passing-game role keep his ceiling too low; he’s touchdown-dependent and best left on benches.
The Bears’ front seven has been steam-rolled by primary backs all year, surrendering 140.8 rush yards per game and six TDs through six weeks. Kendre Miller has quietly grown his snap share every week and finally out-carried Alvin Kamara 10-8 in Week 5, flashing the power and vision that made him a 2023 third-rounder. Unfortunately, he still played only 39% of the snaps, ran 9 fewer routes than Kamara, and has seen just four targets all season.
Snap share has risen every game, hit a season-high 39% in Week 5, and posted a career-best 65 yards and a TD in Week 4; still no role in passing game and out-snapped 35-20 by Kamara in Week 6.
Volume is king in fantasy, and Miller’s projected 8-12 touches simply don’t stack up to the 18-25 the featured backs who have eviscerated Chicago have received. The Bears’ defensive ineptitude is real—they allow the most YPC to RBs in the league—but they’re getting gashed by workhorses, not change-of-pace options. Even if Miller is more efficient per carry, he’d need a touchdown on limited touches to return starter value, and banking on a score from a backup is a shaky proposition. New Orleans’ offensive line has been inconsistent, and a road game in Chicago projects for neutral or negative game script, further capping rushing attempts. Until Kamara misses time or the Saints commit to a true 1A/1B split, Miller profiles as a stash with upside rather than a lineup lock.
